Commercial and Advertising

The one thing I hate the most about living in the 21st century is ads. Look around! They're everywhere! You can find advertisements anywhere from television to the radio to the internet to magazines to T-shirts, mugs, etc. But the worst types are mailers and pop-ups, because mailers kill trees (Recycle them, please!), and you have to click every single time you want to eradicate the pop-ups, and some websites are nice enough to torture you with multiple pop-ups. I've never seen, heard, or watched an advertisement that made me want to buy the product/service, except when I was a little kid watching those toy commercials on Nickelodeon. The only ads I actually enjoy are the Superbowl ads, or the funny ones that show up every once in a while. Embedded below are my favorite commercials of all time due to their humor.

Favorite Procrastination Techniques

One of my all time favorite Spongebob episodes is "Procrastination", where Spongebob keeps finding distractions to avoid writing his boating school essay on "What not do at a stoplight" in 800 words (If you haven't seen the episode, I HIGHLY recommend it; download it from iTunes here: , or save money and watch it on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA4jMMBHUwE&feature=related). Anyways, the episode represents the story of my life, because I am addicted to procrastinating. Whenever I'm supposed to be doing homework, I end up finding myself surfing the internet, browsing sites like Facebook and Wikipedia (so many interesting articles!). One time, I must have been trying really hard to not write an essay, so I was shopping for engagement rings on eBay. True story. As a matter of fact, I should be doing my homework right now (e.g. a Spanish project on Cuba--5 paragraphs), but blogging is WAY more fun!

Daylight Savings

Fall back...Spring forward! Last night everyone (hopefully) changed all their clocks an hour ahead. This year it felt kind of weird when it got dark later than normal, especially with the new sunny weather. It also bothers me that we lose an hour from hour day, like we can barely squeeze everything under 24 hours! Okay, so that's my little rant on Daylight Savings, so I'll shut up now.
